Tyneham is an abandoned ‘ghost village’ in Dorset, a few miles from where I live. It was commandeered during World War 2 for military training and whatnot, and it still lies right in the middle of a live tank firing range.

Some of the buildings have been restored, and there’s a small visitors center type of thing there but generally, it’s just an odd, empty, aging village. I’d never even heard of it until this year, but I’d happily go back now I know where it is.. It’s relaxing.
