teatro greco-romano
In the Sicilian town of Taormina, this theatre was built in the third century BC by the Greeks and altered throughout the early AD’s by the Romans. Perched on top of a piece of rock that overlooks the sea, with Etna lurking in the background, it really is a glorious location. A bit like the Minack theatre in Cornwall. In fact, Taormina reminded me generally of Cornish villages.. like St Ives.. Quaint.
