These kids were jumping off a short pier type of thing on Waikiki beach, Hawaii. The water was only about a metre deep at the point they jumped in, and the drop about 3 or 4 metres at least so to make sure that they didn’t hit the bottom and get crippled, people had to time their leaps to coincide with the arrival of a wave – thus making the water about an extra metre deep. Make sense(?) Far too dangerous to take part during my honeymoon.. Maybe next time
