Ortygia is a small island in (/next to) Syracuse in Sicily and is roughly a mile square piece of land crammed with streets like this. It’s also known as Città Vecchia (Old City) and has various mythological links which give you a sense of it’s importance in olden times. Basically, it’s a superb place to pass the time.
